RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CORTIGRIMPE CLIMBING GYM

These rules have been designed to provide users with maximum comfort and safety.

Don't take it as a constraint but rather as a set of rules that will allow everyone to have an enjoyable time.

We remain open to any suggestion to improve these rules, which can therefore change at any time.

ARTICLE 1: COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES

All climbers using the climbing gym and all users of the Cortigrimpe area undertake to read and respect these rules and regulations.

Cortigrimpe staff may ask any person who does not comply with these rules to leave the premises without compensation or refund.

ARTICLE 2: OPENING HOURS AND DAYS

Opening days and times are posted at the entrance and on the www.cortigrimpe.fr website, and are subject to change without notice.

ARTICLE 3: ANNUAL CLOSURE

The plant may be closed occasionally for vacations or public holidays. Users can find out about these on the www.cortigrimpe.fr website.

ARTICLE 4: EXCEPTIONAL CLOSURE

Cortigrimpe may decide to close the establishment or certain climbing areas in the event of force majeure, administrative decisions, the organisation of events or for maintenance work.

 The user will be informed by posting on the site and by logging on to www.corti-grimpe.fr.

ARTICLE 5: HYGIENE, GENERAL SAFETY and GOOD LIVING

It is not allowed:

To eat outside the terrace and the bar, except for the consumption of mineral water in plastic bottles

Smoking outside the designated areas.

Bringing animals into the establishment.

Entering prohibited areas.

Bringing in or using any noisy (including radio) or dangerous instruments or objects, or bringing in glass bottles or containers, unless exceptionally authorised by Cortigrimpe.

Running around and behaving in an agitated and noisy manner that may disturb other users.

Access may be refused to any person who is obviously unclean, drunk or whose behaviour is likely to disturb other users.

Health rules related to an exceptional situation such as a pandemic will be posted and must be respected.

Access to the bar and restaurant (bistro) is subject to the legislation in force and decent dress will be required (shorts and tshirt at least).

Tables and chairs will be reserved for the bistro's customers.

Without prior authorisation from the Management, all canvassing, sales or propaganda, distribution of leaflets or other materials are forbidden within the Cortigrimpe premises.

The taking of photographs or the making of films is subject to the prior authorisation of the person in charge of the space concerned and/or the Management.

ARTICLE 6: SPECIFIC RULES FOR ROCK CLIMBING

Climbing is a dangerous activity, requiring particularly close attention throughout the session and absolute respect for safety rules. In addition, participants must comply with all instructions given by Cortigrimpe staff.

Climbers are advised to have regular medical check-ups to ensure that they are fit for climbing, which requires a good state of health 

Climbing is an activity that requires extensive initial training and the climber must demonstrate that he or she has mastered all the specific skills required.

It is advisable to hire a climbing professional to acquire or verify these skills.

Belaying, roping and the use of safety equipment must be in accordance with current practice and standards.

When practicing lead climbing, all belay points must be clipped.

Access to the climbing areas is forbidden to pushchairs and infants, it is a dangerous area and unsuitable for small children.

Participants agree to immediately inform the Cortigrimpe staff in the event of damage to the safety equipment provided as well as to the climbing structure, belay points, belay stations and landing mats.

Solo climbing (without rope) is not permitted outside the bouldering areas and the pan.

It is compulsory to wear suitable sportswear. Barefoot climbing and climbing with unsuitable footwear is forbidden.

ARTICLE 7: MAGNESIA

For reasons of hygiene and air quality, liquid chalk is mandatory. A chalk bag can also be used in the rope sector.

 ARTICLE 8: ACCESS CONDITIONS

Access to the various climbing areas is authorised, in compliance with the above safety rules, during opening hours to any person in possession of an entry fee. Each person must be able to prove, at any time, the payment of an entry fee or an invitation, on presentation of their access card (badge) or their receipt.

For subscribers or multi-session cards, the access badge must be presented when entering the hall

In the event of loss or theft of an access medium, no refund will be given. 

The renewal of an access medium will be charged at €5 inc.

 ARTICLE 9: MINORS

Children under 16 years of age may only climb under the supervision and responsibility of a competent adult on areas requiring the use of ropes.

For the bouldering sectors that do not require the use of a rope, they must present a parental authorisation and are subject to the same rules as adults.

Children under 12 years of age may only use all climbing areas under the supervision and responsibility of a competent adult.

ARTICLE 10: ACROBATIC COURSE

Access to the high ropes course can only be done with the permission of Cortigrimpe staff and in compliance with the specific instructions for this activity.

ARTICLE 11: INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

The participants declare that they have taken out a personal insurance policy covering physical injury to which they may be exposed as a result of their sporting activities, and that they are covered by a civil liability policy for any damage for which they may be responsible to third parties.

The participants declare that they are fully aware of the risks associated with the activity and that they are fully aware of the safety rules set out in article 6.

Cortigrimpe declines all responsibility in the event of an accident resulting from improper use of the facilities, failure to comply with safety rules, or unfitness to practice climbing.

ARTICLE 12: CHANGING ROOMS

The use of changing rooms is compulsory. It is forbidden to change clothes elsewhere than in the changing rooms.

Nudity is prohibited outside of changing rooms and individual showers.

The locker must be vacated at the end of the session, no locker should be left locked and/or occupied at the close of business.

Any personal belongings left outside a locker or in an improperly locked locker are the responsibility of the owner. The establishment is not responsible for lost items or clothing.
